Tips Canada Medical Training focuses on various levels of first aid from basic to advanced first aid services and programs, first responder and emergency medical responder training services and programs, and in international trauma life support programs.

Parents with Kids - Training Program

Parents with Kids is a first time first aid program for new parents. Specialized for the first time parent who wishes to learn first aid to help their family. This program is designed to have you and your child attend, with increased breaks to help you with your child and give you the protection and peace of mind that you deserve.

International Trauma Life Support

Tips Canada is helping teach various medical services in international trauma life support using a variety of advanced trauma based medical and instructor programs.

WSIB: Health and Safety Programs

Tips Canada is working with The Staff Room to offer a variety of Occupational Health and Safety based programs in Workplace Safety and in developing Joint Health and Safety programs for the employer and the employee.

Ice Rescue Training

Designed specifically for staff that perform duties on and around ice, this course is recommended for personnel that travel across frozen bodies of water or are required to inspect accidents and incidents impacting the environment or obtain and record environmental samples. The program is popular with marine researchers, hydrometric technicians and water quality inspectors.

Confined Space Rescue Training

This course identifies the obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Confined Spaces Regulation (O. Reg. 632/05) and meets Section 8: Hazard Recognition and other general training of the Regulation.

Rope Rescue Operations

Professional rescuers will lead this two-day "hands-on" course that is designed for rescue personnel conversant with introductory rope rescue techniques. You will utilize previously learned skills in a variety of rescue situations while learning new rigging and rescue procedures. Note: Students must be in good physical condition.

Swift Water Rescue Training

This fast-paced experiential course is delivered over two-days and provides an Operations Certificate. It is led by professional rescuers and is an intensive practical application of river rescue philosophy and techniques.

Topics include: Rescuer safety, identifying potential dangers through learning about hydrology and the dynamics of moving water, site survey, scene size-up and the Risk/benefit analysis, self-rescue and survival tactics, and an introduction to rigging rescue systems.

Diver Training

Our commercial diver training program is accredited by the Diver Certification Board of Canada and provide training which will allow successful candidates to achieve the competencies described in the appropriate section of the Canadian Standards Association’s Competency Standard for Diving (CSA Z275.4)

Medical Transportation Driver Programs

Tips Canada Medical – Medical Transportation Division works and develops all drivers to a highly skilled level of competency and safety, with good communication skills, who are screened and trained by our human resources division to prepare all of our drivers to become #1 in the medical courier industry.

Transportation of Dangerous Goods

The Transport Dangerous Goods Directorate is the focal point for the national program to promote public safety during the transportation of dangerous goods.

Occupational Health and Safety

The main focus in occupational health and safety programs is on three different objectives: (i) the maintenance and promotion of workers’ health and working capacity; (ii) the improvement of working environment and work to become conducive to safety and health and (iii) development of work organizations and working cultures in a direction which supports health and safety at work and in doing so also promotes a positive social climate and smooth operation and may enhance productivity of the undertakings.

Advanced Medical Outdoor First Responder

The TIPS Canada Medical – Advanced Medical Outdoor First Responder is a combination of Wilderness First Aid and First Responder programs for people who live, work or play in the wilderness. This program is also well designed for Urban Survival during any level of natural or man-made disaster.

Incident Management Systems

Consistent with internationally recommended practices, Ontario has developed an Incident Management System (IMS) that provides standardized organizational structures, functions, processes and terminology for use at all levels of emergency response in Ontario. IMS addresses the need for coordinated responses to all types of incidents and has been developed with input from more than 30 emergency response organizations from Ontario.

TIPS Canada Medical - Driver Assist Response Team (TCM-DART)

TIPS Canada Medical – Driver Assist Response Team is a special program for drivers who are trained to assist our medical transportation drivers during any environmental or roadside emergency. This program is vital for people who wish to operation in emergency dispatch and response.
